It is indicated for occlusal accommodation to patients during mouth opening. Its shape provides adequate accommodation and comfort. Its lateral undulations lock the mandible, preventing sudden closure. It has a central hole where dental floss can be linked to facilitate its removal from the patient’s mouth quickly and safely.
